Welcome to the website of SEIKUKAI
Our “dojo” is the Katsushika Branch of the Japan Karate Association (JKA).
We practice every Monday and Thursday from 7:00pm to 9:15pm at the Higashi-Kanamachi Junior High School gymnasium.
We are always recruiting New Members. Visits are welcome at all times.

<Training>
Date: Monday & Thursday (Except Holidays and School event days)
Time: ① 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. : "JUNIORS"
(Elementary school & younger, and Junior high school white belts)
② 8:00 to 9:15 p.m. : "SENIORS"
(Junior high school color belts and above, High school students, Adults)
* However, Juniors who are capable of practicing with discretion and are "color belts" may continue to participate with the Seniors. Senior members may also participate with the Juniors. White belt Elementary school students and under, lesson ends at 8:00 p.m.

<Fees>
Monthly fee: 3000 yen
Enrollment fee: 6000 yen
Annual JKA Membership Fee: First year 4600 yen, Renewal 3000 yen
Sports Insurance: 1000 - 2000 yen (per FY)
Examination fee: 4600 yen (3 times per year for “kyu”grades)

JKA has 845 branches and affiliations in Japan with more than 38,000 members. It is the largest “shotokan” karate-do organization with branches in most countries around the world. Although JKA cooperates with the Japanese Karate Federation (JKF), we pursue traditional “budo” karate rather than the so called “sport karate.”
